NEW DAKOTA FANNING? Chicago's own Kiernan Brennan Shipka, who appears in a lead role on "Monk" on the USA Network tonight, is only age 6, but certainly well on her way!

The talented kid already has appeared in national ad campaigns for Gerber, Build-a-Bear and Campbell's Soup; had a starring role in the CBS pilot "The Angriest Man in Suburbia"; finished her first feature ("Dimension"), and currently is filming another movie in New Mexico. It's a sci-fi thriller titled "Carriers," and she plays the daughter of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" star Christopher Meloni.

Kiernan's proud parents are prominent local real estate developer John Shipka and former St. Patrick's Day Queen Erin Brennan Shipka.
